Hi, I’m Lintaa

Welcome to my cottage bakery!

My baking journey is rooted in a rich family tradition that began with my great-grandmother, who baked cakes in a steam pot, infusing each creation with love and flavor. This passion was passed down to my mother, who spoiled her four children with the most delectable desserts made from the finest ingredients. Growing up surrounded by her creations, I began experimenting with her timeless recipes, adding fresh, exciting flavors to develop my own signature cakes and treats.

How it Started

In September 2016, my mom gifted me a KitchenAid stand mixer as a wedding present, which I brought with me to the States. Although I had been baking cakes during my time as an international student in Denmark, it wasn’t until October that I baked my first cake for my husband’s birthday. From there, time flew by as our family grew, and I decided to stay home with our kids while teaching business studies remotely to high school students for a few hours each week.
Before my third child was born, I was lucky enough to complete my graduate studies at Augustana University (Go Vikings!). With my MBA in hand, I knew it was the perfect time to pursue something I’m truly passionate about—baking. The idea of starting a home bakery had crossed my mind many times, especially after receiving compliments from friends and family on my cakes and desserts. However, it wasn’t until my two older kids started school that I finally found the time and energy to make it a reality. Now, with that time, I’m excited to grow my small home bakery and share my love of baking with this wonderful community.

Home is where the heart is

In addition to spending the last decade baking, I absolutely love Sioux Falls, as it’s where my three children were born and where we call home. This community means so much to me, and it’s the reason I’m excited to share my passion for baking with others here. Over the years, I've tried nearly every dessert in the city, and when I crave something unique that’s not widely available, I love experimenting with new recipes. Having baked for so long, I decided to offer these homemade treats to others who might be looking for more personalized sweet options, where ingredients are always shared, and each order is made in small batches tailored to the customer’s taste. When I am not baking or eating cakes, I am trying to play basketball with my family.
